In that case they would only last about ten laps. Ceramics are at there best in normal road driving conditions where there wear rate would be very low.
Agree though i would not bother. SVR 2018 in Santorini Black.

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

On Jaguars the Ceramic brakes used to be a £10,000 option............ would you trust the spotty youf apprentice in your local dealership to be able to service them properly and also be able to resist the temptation to take the car out on a road test just to see exactly how effective they are? The combination of SVO SVR RRS and Carbon Ceramic Brakes might be hard for them to resist testing out on your behalf............. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

I put it badly, what I meant is that you only really feel any benefit if you are driving like a mad man (or on a track), I've had them on a 911 and unless you were really pushing the car hard you can't really tell any difference. They were the worst (£6k) option choice I think I ever made! I liked the idea of the callipers matching the yellow speed dial and the yellow seat belts:D

You can now have Yellow callipers, Big Cry as shown on new Jag SVR model, shown in this weeks AutoExpress magazine, it states available on RRS range to inc SVR.

You can already spec yellow calipers on CC discs on the Jag F-Type SVR. Carbon discs work best when hot and are spongy when cold. I'd be surprised (but that means nothing*) if Range Rover put CC discs on any of their cars. The great thing about The SVR is that it's a monster on the road and proper Range Rover when things get slippery, Or rocky. Or steep. Unlike any of the German contenders.

*That said, if CC brakes were available I'd properly spec them. I take great care to not drive through puddles, and none of my toy cars go out when there is a cloud in the sky, but I've got frickin' wade sensors for Christ's sake. Embarassed

**Still wouldn’t spec the carbon fibre bonnet though.

You would go for CF bonnet Phil? I resisted the temptation thinking that the car doesn't need a sh**load of CF parts all over it... but I am tempted. I'll be surprised/pretty impressed with myself if I don't add it before the actual cut off date! I'm just waiting on the best finance quote to come through before I place my actual order (which should be today).
The only other conundrum I've got is whether to go for the black interior or the black/white option, just not sure about that white dash/two tone steering wheel Confused

Typo on my post - wouldn’t do the CF bonnet.

I love my interior and would do something similar again (the inch-wide strip next to the side bolster in blue perhaps) and would have a black steering wheel.

But I’m in no rush whatsoever to change. There are more things I like less than I like more. I don’t like the exhausts. I don’t like the black roof. I don’t particularly like the seats. I hate the wheels. The touch screen controls don’t sit well with my OCD. Shame they’ve lost the different colour calipers. I wouldn’t notice the extra 25 HP. I quite like the bonnet, but not in CF.
