Just had the email from TFL regarding the T-Charge (Toxicity Charge) and guess what it's now going to cost me another £10 per day on top of the congestion charge to sit in traffic and cause more congestion and toxicity!

O well just anonther charge to pass on to my customers and push up the cost of living.

But my understanding is it will only effect owners of cars built before 2006 ie pre-Euro4 cars so howcome an L494 Owner is getting shafted? I tried the link and it says no problem for my RRS but here is the crazy thing, at the last MOT my 1996 TDi300 engined Defender had lower emissions than my Euro6 compliant Sport but it cannot enter London or the Lower Emissions zone........... 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Tim,,i mot older cars with lower emission results than newer ones,I had a 64 plate focus a week ago & it only just passed emission test,,this low emission zone is just another way to screw the motorist as they know we need our cars to get from a to b,,,,robbing barstewards that’s all they are.

Very odd, I checked for my TDV8 this morning and it’s not subject to the charge

I was confused by this as although I understood it mainly affected diesels it also said petrol cars registered before 2006.

My 4.2L Petrol Supercharged was registered in 2005 no with baited breath I put the details in the checker and somehow, it meets Euro 4 so I don't have to pay it! Phew  2016 RRS SVR Estoril Blue

MY2012 SDV6 HSE Automatic Dynamic. No Charge still. If you hold a Blue Badge & Exempt Road Tax charge, and register for up to two cars in London & Manchester congestion zone etc, you don't have to pay, as exempt at least till 2023.
My car also passes the later ULEZ by taxation class too until 2023, by which time would have a newer model. Unusual good news.

There will be many more cars driving with wrong plates to escape this, as many do already for congestion charge and speed cameras, same colour and model car, so doesn't get pulled, and real owner gets fine through post.
