I am looking to buy the above car.
It is a 2.7TDV6 HSE
FSH, mainly main dealer.
All usual extras etc.
Only concern is the mileage is 187000.
Is this likely to be a problem or are they likely to run in from there (i realise usual wear and tear etc)
The price is just under £9000, car not likely to have loads miles added as it is a second car.
Whats everyone opinions?

If it is being described as an "Autobiography" by the seller then there was no such thing in 2006 - if as you say further down it is an HSE then also ask if it has the Dynamic Response Pack fitted which will give you the more advanced electro-hydraulic self dislocating rear antiroll bars and a flatter ride in more vigorous driving conditions (it also also gave you the uprated steering rack which in those days allowed you to fit 20" wheels without voiding the warranty as they were OEM on DR fitted cars).
My sister ran her 2007 S beyond 200,000 miles with only annual servicing by the local Land Rover Indie specialists. Apart from all the regular replacements required with the miles racked up the only other thing that got done was the EGR's were first replaced under warranty and then when the LR Warranty ran out they were blanked off. One thing that I think helped keep the car's off road bits exercised in all that time was that it had a 5 mile forest track drive each way daily to and from their remote house so offroad height and low ratio was used regularly in poor weather. So when you have a look at the car check that the transfer mechanism works and isn't seized up and look under the bonnet for the hydraulic oil filler cap for the Dynamic response if it was ever fitted. I would suggest that if you find the car is running on wheels bigger than 20" you ask for a reduced price as the steering rack isn't designed to handle bigger wheels and that you budget for some decent tyres if it is fitted with Chinese or discount make rubber, otherwise check the belts have been changed and the oil pump replaced at the same time - you will be one of the first coming up for a 2nd change based on miles rather than years! Check out that the air suspension works properly as at that miles it must have had or will soon need new parts. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Just looked and recently had a major service, oil pump and timing belt replaced.
It has had Autobiography 2010 kit fitted, including wings, bumpers and front/rear lights
Very tempted to get this rather than go through the hassle of fitting to mine and paying £4-5000k to do it.

As it is then a "modified" (harder to insure ) car why not make a cheeky offer below asking price.............. there is only one answer that the seller can give if you pitch it too low! The miles count against it so it is going to be hard for him to shift anyway - most folks go feint at 100,000 miles and you are looking at one with neigh on 200,000!
BTW my sister's car was not sold on, one of my nephews uses it as a school run car for his partner and their family. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
