Drivers Seat Position

Well I have just taken delivery of my 63 plate HSE, can I ask if, as it did in on my earlier model, should the drivers seat lower and return to give access and entry when opening the door. At the moment this one does not. Confused

My drivers seat doesn't move at all in that scenario, despite the column switch being in auto.

I actually found it to be a problem in the last Jag as rear passengers did not appreciate having their feet crushed by the seat if I got out before they did. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

I don't have memory seats, so maybe it is linked with seat memory? 2017 MY17 SDV6 SE
