Hi , just had front lower wishbones replaced by my usual Indy , but have an ongoing issue with noise from steering , smooth road surface and all is great but go onto an uneven back road and it's quite noticeable noise coming from front which I thought could be wishbone , so I had both front wishbones replaced which has improved things slightly , however I'm not happy with the steering , when you travel at relatively slow speed and turn the steering wheel from lock to lock you notice a slight knock and slight notchy feel . It's also noticeable when you ( for example ) start off and turn in hard lock when leaving the drive , it's something that has always been present on the car since I've owned the car , could this be a case of steering rack or steering column fault ?? What are the tell tale signs of steering rack problems and how much would I expect to pay at an Indy to get fixed ? Grateful of your advise. Ps steering feels nice and light and returns to forward position without problem

I also failed to mention that my Indy said they had noticed I have a very slight weeping leak from the front ARB which they said is nothing to worry about at this stage but would keep an eye on it when it goes in for regular servicing , as I've read on here in other post the steering noise could be related to the front ARB ( active type )

I'm sure I've read somewhere here that the noise you describe could be ARB. No doubt someone on here with experience of the issue will be along shortly Robin
