Fixed Panoramic Roof - RR Sport HSE Dynamic 2017

Hi All,

Just ordered our new 2017 RR Sport HSE Dynamic Stealth, upgrading from the 2014 RR Sport HSE Dynamic and this time we have decided to go for the Fixed Panoramic Roof, would have gone for the sliding one, but as we live in Scotland, there wasn't much point!

My question is, if for whatever reason the glass is cracked or smashed (stone chips or falling objects) would my insurers cover as a replacement glass, just like they would for the Windscreen, or is this something that would need to be claimed for on my insurance? Also, does anyone know the replacement cost if i were to pay for the replacement myself?

Our build is amendable until tomorrow, so would like some feedback from owners who have this. Should I keep it, or change back to a solid roof to avoid any costly disasters!

Thanks all Smile

Some insurers include the Pano roof in their glass section some don't. You need to check your policy wording

Quite a few Evoque owners have had their pano-roof crack, often after having the roof rails fitted, most of the big name discount insurers won't cover them, but plenty of insurers include it under the Glass cover, as stated check the policy or phone the broker/ insurer. IIRC Direct-Line, LV, Admiral are among those who don't include it in the glass cover. There are a lot of posts over on BabyRR.com regarding this. I've only heard of a single RRS with a cracked/ shattered roof and that was a stone thrown up by a passing vehicle 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Panoramic roof in Ayrshire?

Short winter days, blind closed on the two sunny days in year. So, only reason to get one would be to look up at the surface of the water when deep wading! Laughing Rolling with laughter
