2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

I had a Zanzibar Evoque, pretty good at hiding road dirt but not a popular colour and best had with contrast roof and black/stealth pack. I also had the tan interior with Recaro style sports seats on mine. I've seen several Disco4's in Zanzibar, quite a few Evoques but no RRS's. I would have it again, but is not a colour that everyone likes. I only bought it after having had a Stornoway FFRR and a White Evoque that suffered attempted thefts from my drive and was advised to buy my next car in as lurid a colour as I could by the local crime prevention officer, so I did

I quite like those tan seats in the Zanzibar Evoque. Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I note your comments ref silver cars but personally there is nothing better for hiding dirt.

My Indus silver with Opticoat Pro + always looks clean. I also think the silver highlights the cars body shape and features.

I like the look of the Verbier silver but not seen one in the flesh. It does come at a premium though. 2016 Range Rover Sport SDV8 HSE Dynamic (Indus Silver/Santorini Black Pano Roof, Ebony/Cirrus leather, custom grey Style 508 alloys)

I've ordered the tan seats in my sport but Tims photos look more orange than they are in the flesh, I hope!

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

That car was built in February 2014 and I have heard / read that the shade of tan from 2016 onward is a lot less orange and more light brown, more what you would expect tan to be. The only thing I wasn't keen on with that colour scheme which was shown on the configurator as a tan interior had a lot of black panels in it - e.g. The door cards were mostly black with only the arm rests tan, the seat back kick panels were a black molding. That was the second Evoque I owned with those optional seats and they are about the most comfortable seats I have ever had in a car, including FFRR's and a Volvo. They gripped in all the right places, the lumbar support was great and the firmness of the cushions was just right for me, I could do long, long trips and never get out feeling like I had gone a session with a cyropractor. Oddly I drove an F Type Jag and a Defender with the same style eats and they were nowhere near as comfortable as the Evoque's, and I had been warned that was the case by the salesman and DP of the dealer, they found the ones in the Evoque more comfortable too. The SVR front seats are similar design. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Thanks Tim. I like Zanzibar as a colour but do you think it would affect resale?

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Mike, it is hard to tell, I sold mine because of problems with DPF sensors requiring almost weekly visits to the dealers when it was only 11 months old. The dealers "thought" it would be hard to sell but within 10 days it had gone from the approved used website and I was still able to track it on my InControl remote app............ because the dealer had not deleted it from my account and set up the account for the new owner (it took almost a year to clear it and I ended up deleting the car from my Incontrol account in the end). I learned from the dealer that the next owner only kept it for 5 months before moving up to a new FFRR! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

To put this thread to bed, I have wimped out and ordered a new HSE Dynamic in Indus silver with black pano roof. My wife just laughed when I told her and said "yet another boring silver car" but in truth, silver is always a good colour for not showing the dirt

I did go ever so slightly left field inside though with tan seats. I'm sure the wife's comments will be something along the lines of looking like something the dog poo'd but hey, I'm the one that has to live with it

Thanks holmesy84. Are those the 20 way seats? If so how do you get on with them? I've specified them on my new car not to so much because of the massage feature but the articulation in the backrest
