ok I think my upper tail gate switch is beginning to knacker out, it's getting very stiff to press in, so before it fails all together I want to change it. Now I'm sure I read somewhere on here that you can use a mondeo switch which is identicle and half the price but I can't find it any where now, and I've searched through pages and pages of tail gate issues, so if anyone knows the part number it would be appreciated.

I'm also replacing the steel panel behind that secures to the window part number CQD500010. As I'm noticing a lot of rust particles comeong from behind the trim when I'm washing it so with out removing everything I'm guessing that's either gone or going but being 8 years old I'm expecting it the worse.

I've not tried a ford switch myself, but as you aren't in a hurry maybe worth a go.

Will probably have to swap the connector over, however other solutions on here also require that.


They are also available with a camera in them, so a good time to think if you are going down that route

You could

a) hack the wires
b) return for a refund and they buy the correct LR part or ford part
