Most of the time i chug around and would prefer MPG gains over HP for everyday use, but every once in awhile I'll see a nice stretch of road or simply want to got WOT to scare the wife. |

a normal Stage 1 remap will give you better consumption if you don't drive it like a hooligan.

Your MPG is directly related to the position of your right foot ![]() |

DM is totally correct. A decent map will give economy if driven gently and performance if driven hard.

I appreciate that a re-map will most likely give an increase in mpg when driven sedately, however the throttle response is quite sharp. If you have a more balanced/stock map you don't have to worry about blipping the throttle while on rough/wet roads and nailing yourself to the back of your seat or spinning out.

I think you might be overreacting a little, I assumed the comment about buying a BMW was for the eco mode which adjusts map and throttle angle, not about calling you a chav! Everyone else was just explaining why you generally dont need two maps, and thus theyre not normally offered (Plus offering it on a stock ecu generally involves flashing custom code into the ECU).
