Not starting after engine rebuild. Lots of messages.

Hi guys just rebuilt the bottom end on my RRS 2.7 tdv6. Put the the body back on yesterday and today was the big start up day but she didn't start. It came up with some messages on the dash saying hdc fault and gear box fault. I plugged the dianostics in and came up with about 20 faults I'll put some pictures on with the codes. I's is a case just taking it to land rover and getting the ecu''s reset or is there a way to do it your self iv done loads of reading and only found how to do a simple reset. Thanks for any info guys. Charlie

Do a search on here.

I think you need a special (and very expensive) tool to re align it.

And as usual the manual recommends changing the wheel with the magnets in.

Could be something else of course.

OK thanks Andy would it be the trigger wheel alignment tool or the crankshaft sensor alighnment tool, I can only find a tool that aligns the trigger wheel ( the wheel with the magnets in). Looks like I'll be taking the body off again tonight. Thanks for your help mate.

yeah trigger wheel.

Haven't done it myself, just read about it on here.

You may want to see if an injector fires. If it does, the crank sensor could be ok
