I thought Active Cornering was ACE - part of the suspension system - do you mean ADAPTIVE headlights with cornering spotlights that come on below 30mph to illuminate corners / kerbs? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

The adaptive part can be disabled, while retaining the corner lights, or the whole lot can be disabled |

Or don't use indicators also stops them coming on. John

Mine come on under 30mph with indicators on, but I've not actually notice if they do it automatically. John

IIRC they should do both, with indicator on or at less than 30mph if the steering wheel is turned by a certain amount - when I had them on my Evoques and the TDV8 RRS they came on at night when I was negotiating twisty local country back roads at less than 30mph and also going up and down the access ramps in multi-storey car parks. Passengers sometimes used to remark about the "little light" that came on when I was negotiating turns. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Mine come on all the time,, didn't realise they only worked at less than 30 mph but sensible when you hint about it! 2010 RRS, TDV8

#numpty_question: My pre-owned L494 (MY15) Autobiography Dynamic doesn't seem to have what I assume are called Active Cornering Lights; what should I look for on the dash to confirm this?

There are some cars that have to have a recall applied to make them work - some late 2015MY and early 2016MY Autobiographies IIRC. They don't need any enabling in the dash menus. Best way to find out is at night to turn on the headlights, turn the steering wheel to full lock and see if you can see the small spotlight in the headlamp unit come on, it can be seen from the driver's seat 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
