Fluid Puddles Under The Car

Noticed some drops under where the RRS normally parks, so had a look underneath and noticed a lot of oil(?) on the part of the car in the first pic (Can't get my mac to get it not upside down to upload? Sorry!.

Put it in raised and shuffled underneath and I can see that this cylinder with two banjos is absolutely covered - what is that?

Looking at the excretion dripping down, its clear but feels like oil or possibly hydraulic fluid.

What do you think is up with the car please?

Fill in your car details in your profile.

Check the fluid level in the container by the drivers headlight if you have one

It's an active anti roll bar (Dynamic Response). It's leaking but if it's just from the connection to the bar then it might be a cheapish fix. Worst case is a new anti roll bar which is £1000+ fitted. Get it looked at ASAP.

The bit in the first picture is the rear diff mounting. It's below the rear anti roll bar.

Oh, and be careful getting under the vehicle just using off road height. The system is not unknown to drop without warning. A 2.5 tonne vehicle needs an axle stand under the chassis rail if you're lying under it. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Maybe someone more knowledgeable can tell you.

Could be the ARC anti-roll bar

Thanks guys, I'll top it up and get it looked at ASAP.

Fortunately I'm a skinny fecker so don't need to raise the car but point taken.

I'm sure I read you can try replacing some seals before shelling out on a new one.....? Worth a try.
