England 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Lux Santorini Black
Boring start button

Volvo S80 has been declared to boast the world’s dullest start button — a plastic tab that made firing the engine about as emotional as setting a microwave to defrost.

Range Rovers are not far behind. JLR could do better a lot better for little cost.

How about a racing flip cover version?

OK I'm not serious about that but a red button with bold START on it would be nice and not cost more than 20p.

Further to my rant about the Range Rover BORING start button how about this for the SVR at least if not to us lesser mortals.

Racing flip version would be somewhat (ok, very) chavvy, but I'm liking the bottom one! Smile

And they could add a voice with countdown to start... 10, 9, 8...

With having 3 Land Rovers, I'm just glad it starts Laughing

You have a lot of optimism having 3 JLR products.

Countdown would be an optional extra as it would need to be programmable to speak different languages.

Actually on thinking, a voice wouldn't be a good idea, it wouldn't be good for those occasions it didn't start:

My optimism isn't so good at the moment, in the last 3 1/2 weeks I've been abroad at work:

My RRS is currently still at the dealers having the complete rear end brake system replaced, after they tried ripping me off.

My P38 has just had it's keyfob repaired so my wife no longer has to get soaked while completing the overly lengthy EKA dance with emergency key. Stupid security system...

My Defender decided not to start for my Dad to take it it's weekly excercise, again likely an immobiliser issue as I've recently replaced the fob battery.

I can assure you I've said many a foreign word lately which would do fine for the countdown Shocked 13MY Range Rover Sport Autobiography SDV6 - mine
