They where never fitted at factory as the event was cancelled before the fit was completed. As I understand it of the 6 cars only 1 had all the gear fitted. Think mine was next in line as it had the graffics fitted the next car had nothing and the other 3 where resprayed silver .. 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current

Silver? So there are 3 silver G4 TDV8s out there? I wonder if they still have G4 on the logbook! Interesting 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black

Believe it or not but G4 isn't mentioned on the log book just TDV8 HSE the silver cars where only flashed over lift the bonnet or carpets and there still tangiers. Only know this as 1 of the owners got in touch with the club as he was wondering what the connection was. This car live in Lincolnshire I think it was. 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current

Epic! I always have an interest in this as these are rare cars with very few in existence, and I never knew the history behind them. Did you find out via the G4 owners club? 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black

I don't suppose yours is fitted with the sump plate or that you'd like to sell it on at all? (He asks, ever-hopeful that he can find one at cheaper than LR's ridiculous sticker price) 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I may know of someone who has an LR sumpguard Wayne but it is one for a winch bumper. Would that be of any use to you? I believe it can still be used without the winch but not sure how it would look without the winch. 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black

The RRS one is only available with the winch bracket holes. LR (Mantec) never made a non-winch version.

I don't think there is any difference as the holes line up the same mate, the guy I brought mine off said he went to fit it to his pre facelift but preferred the look of the winch guard so fitted that instead, hence how I got my bargain

IIRC you can see what an RRS with the winch and sump guard looks like in VA's gallery. He had the bits fitted after several near write-off incidents with his 1st RRS............ It also won the Turtle Wax Dirtiest car (SUV section) competition in 2006 or 2007! His very early posts about his first RRS are worth a read as it was driven over by a Mini in his first few days of ownership and was only rebuilt as there was a 9 month lead in time for orders just after launch and the insurers wouldn't pay for an equivalent rental car for that time!
