I would be supprised if this is covered under warranty. You don't drive it like your Ferrari 458 I presume, do you? |

Nope, that's why I have a 458 too!

You won't get them done under warranty, as they are excluded, unless a manufacturer recall for a reason.

Cool thanks for the input, will let you know how I get on. Just find it unacceptable for a car to be asking for discs so soon. I have had them all (X5 (all gens), Previous RRS, Q7, XC90, Cayenne and a Lexus Rx) and never had a car asks for discs so soon! Won't be giving up so soon! |

I expect the dealer doesn't know Sh!t. Scoring does not mean squealing? If they insist on disc replacement I would suggest that you get it in writing that if the brakes squeal after disc replacement they will refund the cost. Alternative, buy the disc direct from Brembo and replace yourself, easy task for the fronts. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW. |

Scoring should not mean replacement, unless the overall thickness of the discs is below the minimum.

I was pushed off the road in the first week of ownership to a verge in Derbyshire and it seems a stone just gouged into the disc over time after I informed LR it was pulling to that side, the dealer noticed this on it's 2 year service without any wheels off! What off road vehicle does this, there's no protection to this on the Bremco brakes. |

Interesting post about protection, one thing that bothers me is the steering tie rods are in front of the axle, poor design as they can be hit and bent very easily. But I suppose most owners will not go off road? M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW. |
