Mine has gap of about 2mm on passenger side and about 5mm on drivers side (right hand drive). No squeaks or rattles from it so wont be asking dealer to fix it any time soon! |

Welcome to the forum , I am also a fairly new owner coming from a German brand. Like you I am amazed at some of the fitment , which for the price, is pretty sub standard for a 21st century car. This being said the drive is the thing that over comes these niggles , if the car wasn't so good to drive then I am sure I would not have paid the entry price. I will now check my dash , which will most likely be out of line like some of my rear hatch trim. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW. |

Long round trip to the dealers so I stripped the trims out and straight away NOT ONE screw was even nipped up, shoddy production control. Realigned, put some mastic in some plastic squeaking joints and used a bit of thin black window seal and its now spot on without squeaks, an hour it took to do.
