Scotland 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 S Java Black
Fault Code P117E

Diagnostic tool showing P117E - Fuel volume regulator control exceeded minimum control limit. Changed fuel filter but car still goes into limp mode shortly after starting and travelling short distance. Stop and restart car and it's OK for the rest of the day! Has any one had this fault and if so would be grateful for advice?

I believe its the high pressure fuel pump that is faulty, not the one in the tank, the one that sits in the engine bay and pumps fuel under high pressure into the common rail 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater Smile)))

P117E-00 Fuel Volume Regulator Control Exceeded Minimum Control Limit

Faults:
Fuel volume control valve circuit fault
Fuel volume control valve fault

What to do:
Check the fuel volume control valve and circuits. Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams.
Check the resistance of the valve and install a new high pressure fuel pump if the resistance is not between 1.5 and 15 ohms (the fuel volume control valve cannot be serviced separately).
Clear the DTCs and test for normal operation Malaysia Boleh!

Thanks for the replies! Could the common rail pressure switch cause this? I'm not that technical but work mate thought it might be worth trying first.
