Should be black on a SC.

In the early days of RRS (I wasone of the early members here in 2005!) the black badge/ silvered grille was the "must have" change to make so there was a huge market in new grilles and black badges from the S/C! There was also a spate of 2.7YDv6 owners who bought the Supercharged tailgate badge for their diesels................... I was not one of them, my car 1st RRS was given the original "Autobiography" badge on the tailgate 2nd RRS was an early TDv8 HSE........... It got the then only obtainable with a VIN no from an HST, HST grille but I found that I had a couple of instances of the intercooler and main radiator clogging up with dead flies after long drives so I sold that and put the original plain grille back in....

Standard badging has been changed around by LR over the years, Green background with silver lettering, Green with Gold lettering, Black with Silver lettering, plain silver with Range Rover on it. For a while Land Rover was going to make Range Rover a stand alone "brand" for the luxury range of cars, all the dealerships had to change their "corporate" image to show them as being both Land Rover and Range Rover dealers but that lasted about 12 months when LR changed their corporate mind again................ After dealers had spent a fortune and all the oval car badges returned to being Land Rover on a Green Background. At the take over by Tata I had some White with Tata in blue letters badges made and put on my car as an April Fool........... Nearly caused a riot for the day.
