Massively disappointed with Land rover

Hi
Iam new to this forum but have had a sport for 3 years and enjoyed the ownership so much I decided to order a new one which I was greatly looking forward to, it arrived 4 weeks ago and during the PDI a fault was found with the ventilation system they have been trying to fix the problem since then,so frustrating to be in this position i.e. wanting the car but not being able to take delivery of it because of this problem.Has anyone else had this sort of issueI really don't want to do this but I think I will have to reject the car and go for a merc or BMW

Unfortunately you cannot reject a car that hasn't been delivered to you............. It is still in the dealers workshops being prepped and their property until you have paid for it. I would suggest that you advise the dealership that you wish any deposit that you have paid returned in full and then walk away and buy something else. you could ask them to replace the car with similar within a reasonable time or provide you with an equivalent price and quality vehicle until "your" car is fixed. If you had already taken delivery then you have to give the dealership 3 goes at fixing it. On your contract is there a mentioned deal;I very date? Another route is to involve Ryan at Land Rover Customer Services.
Suggest also that you name and shame the dealership and tell them how dissatisfied you are. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

to be totally fair to LR I have been offered my deposit back and to order another vehicle, trouble is I have done the rounds looking at whats on offer from the other makes but would still prefer a sport,I will see if they come up with some other options but I am definitely not having a vehicle which after 4 weeks is still in bits and both the dealership and landrover are scratching their heads on how to fix it

Did you suggest ordering a similar/same spec car ASAP to the dealership? After all it's their/LR's fault to fail to deliver their part of the mutual deal... Regards etc.,

I believe there are measures to significantly cut down the build time if the issue is escalated high enough in the food chain... Regards etc.,

This was amended in October 2015 http://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/reg...rights-act Thumbs Up

Main points are -

Quote:
30 days to get a refund For the first time a specific time frame has been created in which you can reject a faulty item and get a full refund - now 30 days

Quote:
Failed repairs After one failed attempt by the retailer to repair or replace a faulty item, you're entitled to ask for a refund or price reduction.

if there was another car I wanted I would definitely cancel,I think LR are taking advantage of there order book and not reacting to customer complaints

finally got the new car,to say I'm happy with the car is a understatement.LR come good with free accessories to the tune of 4k at brochure prices which has lessoned the frustration over the the problems with the first car(which is still not repaired).
