Drivers heated seat not working

Hey everyone,

My drivers heated seat stopped working all of a sudden on my 2006 rrs, was going to have a look at the connector under the seat and disconnect and connect it back up to see if it was just poor connection, does anyone know which connector it is? Also does anyone know if this is a common fault?
Thanks

It's probably one of the elements that's causing the problem. They do fail over time. Be worth checking the fuse too just in case. A read of the fault codes will help to pinpoint the problem as there are about 4 codes relating to the heated seat (I think).

One problem is that the seat has an element in the seat base and one in the seat back. They are in series so if one fails, both stop working. The one in the base is easier to get at. Four screws on the underside and it lifts out. You can then check the connectors. There is also a thermal sensor but the fault codes will show if it's that or not. The element in the seat back is more involved as it requires the seat to be removed/dismantled I think. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
