3.6 TDV8 Engine Failure

Hello All, I'm a member of both Disco3 and Full Fat RR as I've had both in the past and I actually currently have tdv6 RRS awaiting an engine, but I'm in a serious bit of bother with my TDV8 RR Full Fat. I decided to post here, as the RRS seems to have had more tdv8 engine fail.

I've had a post up over the past week discussing possible injector/ engine failure.

Basically the car was driving perfect and then suddenly engine system fault and it had no power and developed a misfire.

All injectors have been tested and appear to be working perfectly.

I had EGR error codes, cylinder 2 fault and bank a/b inbalance. Members on the Full Fat forum suggest a possible EGR valve failure. What would you guys recommend? Failing that anybody have a spare tdv8 engine knocking about! without the knock!!!

Cheers.

So you have not actually had an engine failure but just a couple of fault codes. What actually makes you think the engine has failed.

Gee - you Fully Fat people are drama queens - Laughing just kidding.

Hmmm - you are asking if anyone has a spare engine lying around - why not just fix what the codes are telling you that need to get fixed - eg the egrs. 07MY RRS TDV6

^ LOL at that.
OP: does it work now? Have your codes cleared and a reputable garage reflash your ECU to work without EGR (that will be removed as well). This will set up back maybe, I don't know, an equivalent of a single full tank? Regards etc.,

Just thought I'd reply and let everyone know how things are going on this forum with my Rangie. She is still sitting up. The EGR valve failed and allowed a flap to go into the inlet. I'm hoping the damage is restricted to the cylinder head, but more than likely the piston will be damaged too.

Will have to wait and see.
