I have a 2011 HSE TDV6 currently with 38,000 miles

My last service done by a main dealer was a 48,000 mile service according to their work sheet. Firstly they also gave me a greeny/blue Range Rover Sport sheet showing all the required service intervals and whether they are A or B and a few other notes.

The actual service sheet says it was a 48,000 mile service and yet they have circled the 48 month service interval which says this should be a 64,000 mile service - so that is the first confusion. This cost £479.44 Main Dealer pricing. done 21/3/15. They have ticked all the B Service items so I assume it was in fact a 48 month service not a 48,000 mile service which would have been an A service.

Service now due which according to the blue sheet should be a 60 month interval or 80,000 mile A service. I have two Indie's giving quotes. 1. has quoted £391.45 incl VAT and the other £491.56 incl VAT. The driving factor behind this note is that the 2nd well respected Indie originally thought they were quoting for a 48 month service and quoted £252.64 but now have come back and said it should be £491.56 as it would require expensive items like Dynamic Pack service.

I am now totally confused as to who is quoting for the correct service and items and who to trust. For the cheaper one the list is as follows:

So for all the RRS Mechanical experts is the correct list for this service and why would the other Indie want £100 more and include a service on the Dynamic pack?

Get your hands dirty and do it yourself for £50 !

£20 for filters and sump plug
£30 for oil (ok a bit more)

Fine in principle and I have serviced enough diesel boat engines in my time where you are stuck in a dark and damp engine bay trying to do oil changes. However, future buyers want to see a proper service schedule carried out by a recognised dealer or Indie. But the real gotcha is that Warranty Direct insist on approved service agents doing the LR Schedule.

No-way am I taking that risk and not been covered for warranty with a RRS Current Merc GLE 3.5d 2016 model, 2011 RRS HSE standard

I'd be a bit more concerned why they are not quoting for the transfer box oil to be replaced at 80k/5 years...

The first two items and the screen wash sachet are money makers and are not needed at all (assuming you are able to keep your screen wash topped up). 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
