Could be a seized turbo actuator. You should find threads on freeing it with a search on Disco3. Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

I had that issue on a Alfa I used to own.
It was the air flow meter, not sure if this help though.

Normally if you unplug them the car should run, if better than it was replace it.

Worth a look RRS HSE with a few extras & a

Now it is fixed
Used CRC Air Sensor Clean on the air flowmeter
Now the car runs properly and also have full throttle at the start-up

I have 2 Alfas and 2 LR's. No such problems with the Alfas, but I have this problem with my Freelander 2.
Wonder if I would dare take a risk by spraying the MAF with switch cleaner...........a new FL2 MAF sensor is well over £130.

I cleaned one once with an ultrasonic cleaner (connector out of the cleaning solution) which worked great.
I think as long as you don't touch the internals with any object )it as it very fragile) a cleaner spray of some sort should be fine as long as it totally evaporates and dry before you plug it in. RRS HSE with a few extras & a
