Cool, my car tax will drop! Thumbs Up

(Assuming I bought a new car, which I won't). 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

They've obviously realised they are losing far too much money by letting us have the £zero and £20 VED bands. I never thought that would last long

Maybe they have realised that too many hybrids are actually just as polluting as "ordinary" cars as they are only purchased to avoid paying full VED and when the battery goes flat and that little engine cuts in these dual motor cars produce as much pollution as us. It's about time too that ZEV's got hammered for the amount of pollution caused in making the electricty that they have to store to run on, it has to come from a powerstation somewhere be it a French Nuclear one or a UK coal/ gas fired one. We still don't generate enough solar or wind sourced energy to be powering all these electric cars. Although if somebody gave me a Telsa I wouldn't turn it down! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

I'd happily have a BMW i3. Very impressed when I had a test drive last year. BMW have apparently improved the battery-only i3's range from 100 to 130 miles. Presumably they've tuned the way the car uses power for ancillaries. Either that or they've fitted a bigger battery... Whistle

There are rumours of an X5 version (called i5 unsurprisingly). I'd be very interested in that for the commute. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
