Hi, I've just recently done a coolant change, I was a bit confused with what to use so I ended up getting from dealer, as said previous it's not the cheapest but peace of mind knowing it's correct, it's orange in colour, I also bought 5L distilled water from halfords it's only few pounds. |

The distilled vs deionised vs tap water matter is a constant source of debate. Some say tap water is fine, as long as it's not overly hard, some say distilled is needed, some say you absolutely musn't use distilled, some say that the pure water will eat away at the metal faster, some say the tap water will cause limescale, some say limescale won't build up as the water isn't constany being renewed, some say light deposits form a protective layer that helps prevent erosion from the flow... |

I just use the Halfords premixed OAT antifreeze/coolant. Probably cheaper options available but it avoids the issues. |
