It won't work unless you also put the screen in FFRR mode (by cutting a wire on the back), but this will screw up bluetooth etc. Sad

The alternatives are:

A) Use the secret menu to access the feed manually.

B) Fit a GVIF interface.

i was aware i would have to cut the middle wire to make it full fat mode.

can you tell me more about the hidden menu option?

for the cost of gvif interface i could get a fantastic headunit and put camera into that. but i dont fancy taking current headunit appart to get top screen working.

cheers

It's a shame about the side effects of the FF mode, as many have therefore found it to be unviable. Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

in "vehicle signals" in the hidden diagnostics menu, one of the options is reverse gear... this is currently "off" would turning it "on" get rear cam going?

cant seem to turn in on..think it reading gear selector position

No, unfortunately there's no way of using that method automatically. The reverse gear is just an indicator, rather than a selectable option. Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Let me understand this correctly - even if I edited the Car Configuration File to enable the "Rear View Camera" option so it would show as "on" in the video sources test menu, the car will not display the feed from a camera connected to the brown input on the rear of the radio unit? Regards etc.,

The video will display via the hidden menu regardless of the CCF setting. If the CCF is changed, it will still not show automatically, unless the screen is in FF mode. Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

It may pay you to add a few things to your profile/signature.
MY
Petrol/Diesel etc

Also for these types of mods the Disco 3 Forum is pretty good. In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

Thanks.
Damn.
Which GVIF interface is the one that allows "factory" buttons on the touchscreen for DVD, TV etc? I believe it has been mentioned in the (excellent) pdf GVIF installation walk-through on Disco3.co.uk, but no name has been given? Regards etc.,

I believe NavTV is the one you're thinking of: http://www.nav.tv/products/land-rover-rang...nav-inrr05

Another standard GVIF option: http://www.hids4u.co.uk/land-rover-discove...creen.html

Note that the factory TV and DVD systems can be retro-fitted and will work, though not on the move, which is another benefit of a the NavTV/GVIF option. Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK
