We ordered ours at the end of May and was told we had until 23rd June for changes, and to be delivered beginning of September.

We went there today to find out the changes date was moved forward to 8th June and the build date is 17th July with delivery 7th August!

Now the excitement has kicked in

I think your dealer is playing a fast one on you TBH. They have probably had a cancelled order so moved you up the pecking order. The negative in this though is that you won't get an MY16 car so not the most recent model.

If that does not make a difference to you then well done

If you want to know what changes are coming in for the MY16 have a read on the forums - plenty of recent posts covering this.

I think anything built from 22nd June is a MY16 based on the product brief from JLR.

Spoke to soon, was told 7th August delivery time, now received a call today saying its 4th September, suppose to have been problems with the Incontrol stuff.

A one month delay is quite long, that's disappointing for you.

My car has also been delayed, was told 23/7 now 7/8. No real reason just that its struck in pre delivery checks.
Anymore delays and may Waite for new reg.

It's probably better to wait for a Sep delivery over August if you want the 2016 plate. I guess it probably helps with resale value if you care about that kind of thing.

Correct!! Have waited since March, just getting impatient now.
Sure it will be worth it in the end, trading in my 2010 hse with 31,000. Never had any problems in 5 1/2 years.
