Any of you have and use your ADaptive cruise control?

As I'm relitivly new to rrs ownership, I'm still finding little add owns I didn't know I had. During my last deep clean I noticed nestled in my front bumper I have the ACC radar. Having a little trace around the back I can see it's all plugged in. Now I'm always using my cruise control yet I've never noticed this ACC working, going through the owners manual,
it's showing a 3rd button on the left side of the steering wheel where you can adjust distances. Now I havnt got this!. So do I or don't I have ACC?

It's a 2008/9 2.7 tdv6 hse.

Any help gravely appriciated.
Dan.

Check on the instrument menu - there should also be a Forward Alert setting configurable (it uses the same ACC) - assuming you've got this, you've got ACC but perhaps a previous owner change the steering wheel for some reason ??. Assuming it's not there, then you've not got it (and maybe a previous owner installed the ACC on the front for some reason/bumper replace ??)

Does sound odd though.

I think you can get in touch with LR with the VIN and they'll confirm what the original factory spec. was.

Cheers

David

Use it often, also use the forward alert which beeps if you do not appear to be braking in time on just normal driving. It was standard on the AB and HSE Luxury and an option on others. As you correctly noted it should have two buttons on the left side of the steering wheel.
Guess someone could have changed out the wheel.
