I get around 330 miles on a full tank however I mostly drive in the city so it may vary. |

I average around 400 miles a tank taking it easy, cruising at around 70-80 on motorways no hard acceleration etc. |

In my D3 (uprated interccoler, EGRs blanked, remapped), I reckon I could easily get 450 on a reasonable run, 500 on motorways. I should probably be able to get 550 on motorways taking it steady. Think I'd struggle to get less than 350 from any one tank living here. On winding roads, I'd probably expect around 400 (which is probably my average, but I've never really looked into it)?

A quick search shows that the nearest fuel station, approx 10 miles away at Scourie, has pay at the pump facilities open 24 hours a day. http://www.scouriefillingstation.uk/ Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

I've been up to Ullapool on the bike (with a tank range of 150 miles) and it was fine. When touring in places like that I always fill up at the next station once the range gets to half way.

I fill up with nice cheap diesel (96p litre yesterday) in Muff, Donegal and drive to SE London on one tank. Its just over 500 miles and is a mixture of A-Roads, Duals and a bit of motorway (I go via Stranraer over to Scotch Corner down the A1/M11) at 75/80 on the m'ways & duals. Works out about 30mpg though the light is on orange 1/2 way down M11. Mind you that is only 2 legs, first to Belfast and second Stranraer to London without stopping. Have seen 35mpg keeping it under 70 and the car is standard TDV6 |

I will need to brush up on my search, I google mapped petrol pumps Scotland and it was a sad site Did find the one in Scourie but not know it was 24 hour. That will be the place to go. Well all I need is some good weather now. Thank you for the replies folks. Gordon |

I've done 360 miles so far on my current tank full, with the trip computer predicting a remaining range of 144 miles. That was mostly about half motorway, and half A road. |

Amateurs! I was stuck in the usual M4 conga line. I think the fuel light went on just a shade under 500 miles and I filled up at 550 miles. The tank came to a few £ under £100. TDV8 btw. |
