I have always been disappointed with the halogen globes in my 07MY RRS. A while back I changed both hi and low beams with aftermarket 55w HID and light on Hi beam certainly improved but HIDs are slow to light up and the HIDs were not good at providing "instant" light when required on Hi beam. I left the HIDs in low beam but took the HIDs out of Hi beam and put in some 55w Hi output white Halogens in but I am not happy with their performance.

I guess no one has swapped their hi beam/fill in halogens for something better?

Thanks - i have the equivalent globes from Narva. Reviews I have read seem to rate them similar to the Osrams but I have no personal experience with the Osrams.

I guess the only other option is to add some auxiliary lamps of some form. The spot/fog pods apparently put a lot of light out when main beam is on. I have a set in the garage but the fitting looks to be quite involved so I haven't yet got around to fitting them... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Yes additional lights are an option but I would like to go to better globes if possible first - this may mean higher wattages but not sure about the standard wiring and the Canbus.
