Help! I've broke the boot lock somehow and cant close it!

I'm at work today, but I had to leave the car with the boot open outside. I went to close it today when it was up and by some stupid reason flicked the lock across to lock. It wont close over now as the arm is shut. Does anyone have any tricks or tips to release it so I can close the boot? Its the main button not the glass. Hope this is not the start to a bad day!

If you press the boot release button, can you hear the lock working, if so use a screwdriver and put it in the boot lock arm and apply a bit of pressure while pressing the boot release button and it should open Thumbs Up 2006 4.2 Supercharged Buckingham blue
