how long does heated screen take to defrost

my heated screen works but takes forever to defrost,a freinds transit screen defrosts in a min or two ,is this common and are they just crap or could this be sorted Confused Smile tdv8

With my BAS remote heater it takes about 60 seconds Smile

Without it, it'll take about 5 minutes or more to defrost! I'm not Fat. RRS TDV6 HST.

over 5 minutes with mine now, it didnt take this long last year, soi think it may be broke, if so how do we test it? 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater Smile)))

2015 bmw 335i m-sport touring mineral grey/coral interior looking to change again .
Gone HSE SDV6 Dynamic indus silver, santorini contrast roof,panoramic roof,red brakes,privacy,climate front seats,tow bar great car enjoyed it ����
Gone my10 3.0 tdv6 Bali blue/ivory 5 years 24k no problems great car will be missed

Around 45 seconds for me in my 2014 Sport. Arrived: MY16 A/B SDV6 in Aruba, Ivory interior, piano black trim, black panoramic roof, spare wheel, blind spot monitoring, mudlaps and more... Twisted Evil

It depends how cold/icy it is, of course, but generally a minute or so. With the BAS FBH controller it's a few tens of seconds. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

it would appear that im a pleb.... i pressed the prog button today just above the windscreen button ...and the ice pretty much instantly dissapeared Razz Razz Razz Cool tdv8
