The genuine LR battery is an AGM battery part number is LR033179. (mine is made by exide) Not sure what age your Sport is, however JLR have been fitting AGM batteries now for several years, so your existing battery could well be an AGM battery.

+1 for the Exide Premuim 900cca - Just got one for my 55 plate S/C. Immediately got rid of the "HDC is not available" occasional message on cold starts Carl |

Thanks guys. Ive ordered an Exide Battery as recommended by Disco_Mikey. Hopefully it will be simple to remove and fit for a simple man like myself. The current battery does not seem to be connected to the vent tube. Can anyone shed any light? |

Undo both terminals with a 13mm Undo clamp bolts, both 8mm Lift battery. Its heavy Replace battery in tray Connect up terminals. They should go right down. If not, ease the clamp open with a screwdriver Tighten terminals and refit clamp There is a hole for the vent pipe, so if it hasnt been crushed or squashed, fit it in the hole Job done |
