small puff of light blue smoke on start up ??

Hi folks , 5 months ago my RRS TDV8 blew up Sad I ended up paying a small fortune to have the engine fully reconditioned and 2 reconditioned turbos . I run the car in for the first 1000 miles just like the garage told me. Now the car has covered 2000 miles and when you boot it there is a very faint whine which only lasts a couple of seconds ? also when the car has been parked over night when you start it there is a small puff of blue smoke from the exhaust , this soon clears and when the car is revved everything is clear, and runs mint all day. Am I heading for more trouble ????? thanks

Hi Embo, small puff of blue smoke if it instantly clears is nothing really. Maybe a bit of oil resedue or filled over the level maybe. Theres a few people that have asked this in the forum and found the same answers.

Spain

Could be a little oil that has run down the valve guides overnight whist the engine is stopped. In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
Gone - A couple of RRS, A couple of Disco's. However thinking of another Sport.

Do you let it warm up properly before revving it? Be gentle with it 'til it's warm and let it idle for a minute before turning it off if you can. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
