Did my interior and reverse bulbs. Wow I can now see after 1630!

Just done this mod, not as easy as others as the reading lamp supply did not have enough free movement in them, i had to strip the rear trim off and pull the headlining down for access, managed to gain a extra 6" on one supply but the other side would not budge, despite a lot of tugging. I soldered the new feed onto the bulb holder in a vice, also did the same for the diode and then fed the wires through as a complete Unitrather than trying to solder in the car, i also did not change the bulbs to leds untill it was all working 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater )))

Hi,

I just order some LED's but can someone tell me how to unclip the interior light fittings? Is it easy like just a small screwdriver easy? Also how do u get into the central lighting above the dash?

Oh and can u use these same led's for the side repeaters? Not sure whether to get smoked or clear yet so haven't ordered those yet.

All the fitting come out/apart with a small screwdriver, your handbook will show you a picture of the correct way, I have not done my side repeaters, never thought of them to be honest, though I did replace the daytime running lights in the head light unit 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater )))

Thanks a lot, the LED's should arrive by next week hopefully then I am going to give it a go.

LED's arrived today and wow what a difference. Took less than 20mins to swap out all the interior bulbs. Mighty chuffed and what a cheap upgrade for the RRS.
