Blinded by the light !

As the dark nights return why do we get blined by the sat nav screen. In most other makes of car when you turn on the light the screens dim automatically but in the sports you have to manually adjust the screen settings, am I missing something ?? 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current

Only the auto dimming function Whistle I never got my head round it either so usually turned the screen off. I'm sure someone clever will come along and point out the error of our ways Bow down but even with the FullFat I still have to go in and turn down brightness manually. 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

You can have 2 settings on the brightness, so store 1 normal and 2 much dimmer for night, you would still have to go to settings from the start screen but use 1 or other as fixed settings, thats what it says in the manual Java Black 2007 TDV8 HSE (my first RRS)
