I have recently bought a 2007 sport hse tdv8. Everything was fine up until yesterday. The buttons on the radio are unresponsive and also the functions on the steering wheel are not responding. Does anyone have a clue what this could be? Many thanks

Have you checked all the fuses ?

Try the obvious things first; check fuse 53 in the passenger compartment fuse box perhaps? The owners manual has instructions on how to access it. No tools required but small fingers or a pair of needle nose pliers make it easier to get the fuses out. If its not the fuse maybe charge up the battery and do a hard reset.  2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Sorry, forgot to mention I tried the fuses. Also had someone to disconnect and reconnect the battery. What is a hard reset ? How do you do that. I've been looking online, does anyone think it could be related to the steering coupler ? The only thing is people have had problems prior, but I've had nothing, all has been working as should. :-s

Try resetting the Stereo itself.
With ignition off, press and hold disc eject button for five seconds, then with button still pressed, turn ignition on. After five seconds, release button then switch off ignition. Turn ignition back on and turn stereo on. Usually a power spike causes this and suspect you are about to have an alternator failure  2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀
TDV8 Sport HSE...... Gone. Loved it but it didn't love me!!
Now rolling in MY10 Fullfat TDV8 Vogue. Slammed it to go round corners🙈
Cruising daily #56 mph in a Volvo V8. 😱
Lots of other toys in the cupboard...😜
