Hi all, I was taking my car (RRS 4.2SC) to the garage to fill her up and the low fuel warning light came on.

The car gave a range of 42 miles when the light came on.

So I filled her up and it took 74.19 litres to fill the tank.

The tank holds 88 litres so there must of been approx 14 litres of fuel left in the car.

14 divided by 4.5 (convert litres to UK gallon) gives you 3.11 gallons.

My car does approx 13 mpg so multiplied by 3.11 gives you 40.44.

Compared to the range the car gave of 42 miles, I thought it was pretty accurate.

When does everyone else's low fuel warning light come on?

At least it gives me a bit of confidence knowing that when it comes on again, the range is pretty much spot on. 2006 RRS SC Bonatti Grey (the 55th car/van I have owned)
