Not up to speed on keyless go type keys, the older variant charged while in the ignition, there are various threads on here about short battery life but it sounds like your key may need re-programmed due to low battery at some point. I know the batteries in keys are usually changed at annual service so maybe an idea to make a note of when changed. Sounds like a trip to the dealer with both keys.... 2x TDV6. SE and HSE. Both returned to sender with issues👀

I have started getting the smart key low battery warning this week..... does that mean it hasn't been changed at service I wonder (61 plate....) |

I think from memory, some of the owners were complaining keys only lasted 7 or 8 months so don't make any accusations yet

To be honest it seems like a sensible security measure, so that if you forget to lock the car some theiving sod can't just drive the car up on to a low loader and have it away with your pride and joy |
