Actually the aerodynamic drag might be sufficient that, even in free-fall, it would reache a terminal/stead-state velocity closer to 140mph - depending on the altitude of the Herc and the air temperature at the time, angle of attack etc. etc. For a RRS without aerodynamic aids to reach 160mph is indeed pushing it. While the standard top gear may theoretically keep the engine within its maximum rev band you'd need to ensure that maximum power is output at maximum revs; which is rarely the case. |

If you just put it in a Herc and flew it around a bit you'd be doing more than 160mph and you'd be able to use it again afterwards! ![]() ![]() 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

Well MY RRS will do 161 mph so there!! And it was uphill !!! And it did 7.0 mpg!!!!
