I know the MY2012+ cars allowed you to use either B/T or just the standard Apple lead, but yes, I belive MY10/11 cars need a LR lead. I'm sure someone will confirm shortly for you ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Cheers. The technician said my car needs a LR cable. But I felt he was trying to just sell me a lead.

Hi. Just bought a 2011 RRS HSE. This may be a stupid question but the touch screen only shows AUX not Portable Media. How do I connect my iPhone to play music? Is there a Bluetooth option? What is the USB for, it charges the phone but nothing else. I don't have a LR lead to plug in and try. I tried a data stick in the USB, that didn't do anything either. Help!! Thanks. |

I should say I have both sockets in the cubby box (in the lid above the cool box).

All fixed now. Sent back into supplying dealer. It turned out to be a glitch in the software.
