Hi gents, I'm thinking about having a complete gearbox an transfer oil and filter change. Can you recommend anywhere near doncaster ? What sort of price am I looking at ? My car has 112000 miles so will it be beneficial ? Any advice or links are appreciated !

A gearbox oil change, only drains 4 litres or so of oil. The box holds 11 litres...

For a proper oil change, you need the box flushed. IMHO,there is no point in changing the filter, as they do not block up. Even on boxes with 150k on them, the filters are still fairly clean. It is old oil that causes issues with the gearbox

Thanks for the quick reply ! So simple drain and refill on transfer. For a proper job on gearbox I'll need one of those mega flushes will I ? I've seen some companies sayin approx 300 quid for mega flush with new filter does this seem reasonable ? Is it a hard job ? Does it have to be a specific type of oil too ? Regards
