MY07 2.7TD rear brake issue

I'm after some advice on my OSR brake. Last weekend I parked the car up after a 6 mile trip to be met with plumes of blue smoke coming from the wheel, the disc was purple and all I could smell was friction material.
I took the car to my mechanic who checked the pads were not stuck and they were ok. I've had no issues with EPB. We fitted a brand new caliper. I haven't had anymore smoke issues but the disc temperature between the rear discs is very noticeable? I can easily touch then NSR but I can't touch the OSR? Any ideas anyone?

I had the same thing. It is the EPB shoes! Not the pads or calliper. Have a look at the how to list on here and you will see how to do it

Do you think EPB shoes are sticking or require adjusting? It had new discs etc fitted on the rear by LR in June of last year, I would like to think the EPB shoes aren't worn already.

They just need a clean up and a service. it could be dust and winter crud making them bind up!

Good luck!
