Jay, it wouldn't be too hot for Zaino, it is just as good in the heat if not better

I think I'm going to have to become a bit more cleaning obsessed when we move.

I'm four cars into using Zaino and I swear by the stuff - the whole cost/ease of use/results thing is superior to any other product I've tried.

p-Trax - if you were a Zaino user you 1) would not have let the car sit under a tree 2) not let it go so long without a wash 3) have no trouble getting the resin off because you would have built up layers of Z2 alternating with Z6 which would have protected the finish - for now, it's going to be a wash then a clay bar job. This said, I claybar'd my entire XC90 in under an hour then repolished it in the hot sun before ending with Z6 quick details. The whole thing, excluding the wash took about two hours or so, no counting roughly 30 minutes for the Z2 to "cure" before removing.

Bottom line is - you're either really into this or you're not. RRUK I am so impressed with your routine that I have bought all of the stuff you recommended. I like you will have my first new car (bought by myself, had lots of co. cars) and therefore want to keep it clean.

Just a few things you could help me with.

(1) Tyre Dressing. I have been using silicone sprays as they bring up the tyres really nice but I know that it also attracts dust to the alloy wheel. Do you have a recommendation for wheel dressings.

(2) I will be getting my new RRS on 1/9/06. The dealer has confirmed it has arrived and I will see it week after next pick up 1/9. What do you recommend in terms of Meguiars for the first clean up. I like you want to protect my car from the off.

I have used Turtle Wax clear spray tyre dressing and also Meguiars, they all seem to flick off and then attract dust onto the alloys really.

To start it off, a coat of the Gold Class wax should do. Just keep an eye on how easily water beads off, a good indicator for when your paint needs more protection. L319 D4 HSE

I've now got my new java black HSE and it's fantastic. Decided that although it's dirty I won't wash it until next weekend, Has anyone used the Flash ioniser system for the final rinse off as I am thinking it would be woth getting one. Can anyone tell me about their experience? New RRS

My JAVA BLACK SUPERCHARGED is rinsed off every time I wash it with the FLASH system. However I only use it for this 1 reason and do not use the rest of its functions as they are useless.

They key thing here is the deironised water - soft water - like rainwater - It works 100% and is well worth the investment = no streaks or spots on the car at all. Even if it gets washed on a hot day - keep it wet - rinse off quickly = PERFECT

However I am thinking of buying a more commercial version/better value & an overall better product. It is by Ionic systems..........

I have recently cleaned my RRS using RRUK cleaning regime. I decided to use the Meguiars gold class wax and whilst initially I was really pleased with the result I notice when there is bright sunshine on the car that there looks to be like a smear reflection. It looks as if the wax hasn't been properly removed. I'm wondering whether I should have used a different wax. Any suggestions as to what I could do. I know black cars are notorious to keep clean and when there is no direct sunlight it looks fantastic. Anyone has a similar experience with their black car? New RRS
