2013 SDV6 flash remap... Possible??

Hi guys

I was hoping to have my 2013 SDV6 remapped but a few people have mentioned that it is not possible without removing the ECU, which i will not be doing!! Is this absolutely the case? Anyone 'in the know' confirm for me please. Many thanks.

2013 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Ipanema Sand

I spoke to BAS who are supposed to be very good, and they said the only way was to take ECU out and open it up. SWMBO owns this car I get to drive occasionally
