Cleaning my interior!

Hello everyone, I hope you are all well. I was just wondering if you guys had any suggestions or preferences in specific leather cleaning products which you would use in order to clean the seats of your car. I have the Pimento Red and Black leather seats in my Autobiography sport and I have recently seem to have spotted that the dye of my jeans has transferred onto the seat. The usual Car Wash guys can't seem to remove it either. So was just hoping if there are any cleaning products which you guys recommend ? Thanks in advance Very Happy

There's a couple of specialist leather companies that do products to clean and maintain leather (LTT and Furniture Clinic).
I personally use LTT products and find them to be be great.
Check out the 'Auto' range at http://www.lttsolutions.co.uk/auto.html
They do a jean dye removal kit too.

On a go forward, to maintain the seats, get yourself some Dr Leather wipes, they come in a baby wipe style tub and mean you can give the seats a quick wipe over to keep them looking tip top Wink Thumbs Up ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Jumping on the bandwagon Very Happy

I've recently got the perforated seats. Do I need to take care of these differently?

And is there a difference between cleaner and sealer?

My seats have a matte finish will some cleaners make this shiny?? If so how do I tell

Do people rate the autoglym cleaner and range generally. ( yes I'm too lazy/impatient/unorganised to order and just want to go to Halfords)

Also a good easy wax/sealant recommendation please. I have used autoglym super resin polish and extra gloss protection. Will I get any real benefits from those fancy products that the serious guys on the forum use Laughing
Has anyone used aqua wax?

Thanks,

Pat

Hi,

I use the Autoglym Leather Balm and cleaner and I find it to be very good. The seats in my FL2 are grained and the balm doesn't make them shiny, only a little when it is first applied.

Sorry that I can't answer any of your other questions, I'm a complete novice myself. Embarassed Arrived: MY16 A/B SDV6 in Aruba, Ivory interior, piano black trim, black panoramic roof, spare wheel, blind spot monitoring, mudlaps and more... Twisted Evil

Thanks for the replied everyone, I really appreciate it. In the end I just went and ordered some Dr leather wipes as Beancounter had suggested as well as Autoglym leather cleaner spray and the leather balm. And they have made a huge difference, I will soon post some pics of the differences.

Thanks again guys, appreciate all the help Thumbs Up

Hi,

I haven't been on here for a long time(due to work & family) but hope to make more of an effort to help you guys out. I find the best thing to remove transfer die is a week mix of Surfex HD and water. This is a fantastic degreaser and shouldn't be used to do light cleaning on leather but works fantastic to remove transfer die. Always clean.

Hi,

Offering my bit of knowledge, I am a part time pro detailer, fully recommend Dr Leather wipes! I have tried a number of different products, none have touched Dr Leather for ease of use and that leave or restore a matte/factory finish!

Cheers :0
