Price drop coming on used RRS 10 models

I am looking to get a used RRS that has a 10 plate on. Currently they are retailing from £28k+. With the new 2014 sport coming, how much of a price drop on the used RRS 10 plate do you guys recking could come?

Are we looking at a drop to £25k from Sep this year?

I doubt any extra price drops more than normal if I'm honest!

The 2014 is a little off, has a much higher cost, isn't to everyone's taste etc Mike

The major increase in the cost of change between a 2010 and a 2014 may mean less used vehicles will be available which will perhaps keep used prices pretty stable Neutral
I can probably find other uses for £70k........ Whistle

I think that as the knowledge of the 2014 is widely known following the launch the prices will already factor that in. Smile ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Interesting to see everyones thoughts.

I suppose a wait till next Easter might see slight more of a drop on the prices.

Hoping to get one at 25k range... I want the facelift model 3.0 tdv6 hse... so maybe a 59 plate might be an option as well.

The other thing I was going to ask is what kind of a discount can you expect on used RRS from a main dealer? 5% 10% etc off the price or do they normally go for full asking price?

If you speak to Pendragon/Stratstones, etc they will not give discount - claim prices are lowest available Rolling Eyes

Smaller (family run dealers for instance) will usually negotiate £500 - £1000 but 5-10% sounds more like new car discount than used Shocked

Recently traded in a low mileage, VGC MY10 for £29500 and Dealer advertised it for £32k and sold it within a week so wouldn't of thought they had much room for discount Confused

Just my experience but others may have better news Thumbs Up Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Still hoping for a S2 one day!

I doubt you will find a decent 2010 at 25k... the problem is most people look at the classifieds, look at the cheapest and think that's the 'guide' price... when you actually decide to buy and move forward and realise you want a car with a certain spec, or colour, or mileage, the 25k is not realistic.

As for dealer discounts, most main dealers don't need to move on price and you will be hard pushed to get a discount on used cars. In fact round my way most dealers know a used car won't hang around for long.
