Seems there's a big difference to down here , as I say, the opener from a local 'ish dealer was £648.....I laughed my tits off when the nice lady told me on the phone she didn't seem impressed when I said I wouldn't be using them for the 1st....or any other service ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Well i've rung a fair few dealers now (8 some more interested than others ) and did get the price to £380 locally, plus the LPR bench mark of £370...but good old guy salmon matched the cheapest price and did it a little less + me sponsoring a lady in the service team for race for life, which is a fine cause anyway, so given their price and corporate responsibility - all booked in there

Insurance falls earlier in the year...so does the other cars, but the sport has the highest tax Mike

I think i payed £375 for my first service which included free courtesy Evoque. Mike, make sure you ask them to check for any software updates, my motor required 2 on the gearbox/transmission. I'm 100% sure its made it worse though, especially at low speed, high speed its fine. ive taken out an offer of a service plan for the next two services which includes, all parts & labour (for services) free tyre insurance for punctures, (not replacement tyres ) discount on all parts and accessories, 10% i think. And free courtesy car for all service visits. they try to get you to cover insurance cost usually Oh, and free MOT at 3 year old. |

Thanks - they are pretty good in fairness to them, they do have a infotainment update to apply (they remembered) and they usually do the updates required - the courtesy car is in - its always offer it (it has to be otherwise I couldn't get to the plane that day!)

I don't consider price, I go on where I get the best service. Buy cheap buy twice is often the way. |

Whilst i would usually agree with you on that point unfortunately on this, its not the case - don't underestimate how little there is to do on a first service, i do the other cars with genuine parts (most key things like this i only ever use genuine parts), more than the published service in almost no time for less £100
