GPS - problem with voice recgonition

I have a 2006 TDV Deisel and having problems with the GPS. When I activate the voice paddle and get the LISTENING sign on the dash board after giving a command the voice comes back 'no speech detected'. Anyone out there know what the problem could be and how to rectify? I have tried taking the disc out, waiting a while, and replacing it but that did not solve the problem. Andrew Kennedy

id save your self the time and hassle mate and not even bother looking for a fault as the voice recognition only recognises klingong i have yet to get to to recognise anything i say and its quicker to do it your self. most people on here will more than likely agree.

but does it work ok when making a phone call over it , if not id say maybe a problem with your mic only the dead truely know peace,
