Thanks. The best suggestion so far Just looked at a new brake pad wear lead and it does have a similar but not identical connector on the 'non-pad end' Would explain why everything appears to working and why there isn't a corresponding lead behind the other headlight (sorry - forgot to mention that in the OP). Suppose if test both severed ends and one is live and one is ground then connect them the dash light for brake pad wear might come on? 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE |

Thanks Mikey. I'll stop fretting about it Note you were too kind to point out I was wrong about the pad wear function. Light comes on when circuit is broken - not when it is made. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE
